What should I look for when picking out an aerial photographer in Omaha?

Aerial photographers are not that common in the midwest, picking the correct pilot for the job is very important to make sure that you are getting the vision that you had in mind. Be sure to get multiple bids on the project you are trying to get done. By doing this, you are allowed to make sure that you are getting the best price to cost ratio. Depending on the job, I usually charge around $100-125 per hour. This rate includes drive time, shooting time, and finally editing time. I would love if you contacted me for a custom quote. I currently opperate the DJI Mavic 3; the best consumer drone on the market!

With that being said, here is what I would look for when picking out an aerial photographer; the questions that they ask, the price that they are charging, the quality of work that they produce, and who they have done work for in the past.

What should I look for in a drone operator in Omaha?

Let’s dive into some questions that are important for the aerial photographer should be asking you if they are seriously considering doing a job for you. The first thing that you should be trying to figure out is their experience level and what kinds of jobs they have done in the past. You can always do your research on this before you talk with them by looking at their website and see if some of their “money shots” line up with what you want done. After finding out the basics, see if their communication skills are good. Communication with any photographer is important because it allows you make sure that they are able to answer any questions that you might have or if you need to make an adjustment on the fly; you will be able to get in touch with them and they will be able to help you out.

Asking who they have worked for in the past is important because you will know how high of a profile of clients that they have worked on and you will be able to gauge based upon these clients what kind of work they will deliver you. There is 3 metrics to keep in mind when picking out a photographer; cost, time, and quality. You can never have all three so you have to pick the 2 that are the most important to you. If it is wanting it cheap and fast, chances are it wont be very high quality. Cheap and high quality, wont be fast. High quality and fast wont be cheap etc. Pick the 2 that are most important to you and make a decision from there.
